Convert Excel to CSV

For a web shop, an accounting program or a mailing list: choose your worksheet and Rekenblad makes a CSV the other program understands.

Your data stays on your device

How it works

Excel to CSV in three steps

  1. Choose your Excel file

.xlsx, .xls or .ods, straight from your spreadsheet.

  2. Choose worksheet and delimiter

Semicolon for Belgian Excel, comma for most web services.

  3. Download the CSV

With a marker so accents stay correct.

Questions

Good to know

  • Semicolon or comma?

If someone opens the CSV in Excel in Belgium, use the semicolon with a decimal comma. If it goes to a web service or a program from abroad, it’s usually the comma with a decimal point.

  • What happens to formulas?

The CSV gets the value the formula last calculated, as it is stored in the file. A CSV can’t contain formulas themselves.

  • Does my file go to a server?

No. The worksheet is read in your own browser.
