How does Rekenblad count words?
By the rules of the language: l’école or aujourd’hui is one word, a number counts, punctuation doesn’t. An emoji or an accented letter counts as one character.
How is the reading time calculated?
At 230 words per minute for silent reading and 140 words per minute for reading aloud. That’s an average: everyone reads at their own pace.
Does my text go to a server?
No. The counting happens only in your own browser.
