Questions
Good to know
What is a pattern (regex)?
A search with signs that mean something: \d is a digit, + means one or more, (…) remembers a piece. That way you find, say, every date. In the replacement, $1 brings back the first remembered piece.
What does ‘whole words only’ do?
Then cat is found in ‘the cat sleeps’ but not in ‘category’ or ‘cats’. Letters with accents count as letters.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Finding and replacing happen in your own browser.
